Last Barn Standing

Riverhead and the Northfork of Long Island continue to resist development and preserve Long Island’s important history of farming. Whether it is wineries, vegetables or even a sod farm. Yes we grow grass. I love the character this old barn, refusing to fall down and even resisting the need for remodeling - though reinforcing the roof may not be a bad idea. Anyway, I hope we let the farms continue to grow and the barns continue to stand on Eastern Long Island. Keep your strip malls where they are.
