Excerpt from Natural Malibu Photobook - These photos hold deep meaning for me and, perhaps, for the community as well. They were taken just a few months after the devastation of the Woolsey Fire. The fire affected everyone in countless ways—homes and businesses were lost, and friends and loved ones were displaced.

The city and its neighborhoods bore the scars of that destruction. Yet these mountains, once charred black by the fire’s force, came back to life just months later with a breathtaking display of wildflowers. To me, the rain that followed and the vibrant bloom were a divine reminder that destruction and suffering are temporary and that life is destined to renew itself.
