The entire day had been spent under rain and dark clouds, yet, I felt compelled to leave the dry comfort of home. With drops of rain still lingering, I noticed a break in the sky. Trusting my instincts, I took a chance, knowing I might get soaked, and ventured to the park, hoping for even a partial view of what awaited me.

And surely, Mother Earth had something extraordinary in store. As the last raindrops fell, the first rays of sunlight broke through the clouds, Point Dume Nature Preserve, empty of visitors, suddenly glowed with a golden hue as the sun illuminated the final blooms of the Giant Coreopsis. Nature, in its infinite grace, painted a divine rainbow across the sky over the Point. In that moment, I truly felt it was a gift from beyond.
